Following completion of the 133rd Avenue NE extension to Woodinville-Snohomish Road, construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of Woodinville-Snohomish Road and Little Bear Creek Parkway (NE 177th Place) began in summer 2025. The project is designed to improve traffic flow, enhance safety, and strengthen connections for people traveling by vehicle, bicycle, and foot.
A key feature of the project is a dedicated pedestrian and bicycle tunnel beneath the roundabout. The tunnel provides uninterrupted access for Eastrail users while reducing conflicts with vehicle traffic at the intersection.
133rd Ave NE roundabout will connect Woodinville-Snohomish Rd & Little Bear Creek Pkwy

Roundabout Project Benefits
Improved Traffic Flow: Roundabouts keep vehicles moving more efficiently than traditional signalized intersections, helping reduce delays and improve travel times.
Reduced Congestion: The project provides an alternative route through downtown, helping relieve traffic on the heavily traveled NE 175th Street corridor.
Safter Trail Crossings: A dedicated Eastrail tunnel beneath the roundabout allows pedestrians and cyclists to cross safely, separated from vehicle traffic.
Better Downtown Connections: The roundabout improves access to and from downtown for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.
Enhanced Public Spaces: The project creates opportunities for landscaping, pollinator-friendly plantings, public art, and future trail corridor improvements
Roundabout Public Art: The center of the roundabout will feature River, a sculpture created by Wildheart Designs. The artwork will serve as a visual landmark and contribute to the character and identity of the corridor.
