Construction Update 12/15/26

Construction activities will pause for the winter beginning December 22 and are scheduled to resume on February 23, 2026, when winter weather conditions improve. The project remains on schedule for completion summer 2026.

Key Dates and Traffic Impacts

• Friday, December 19, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.
  Woodinville-Snohomish Road, from 132nd Avenue NE to just east of the Woodinville Post Office, will reopen to traffic.

• Monday, February 23, 2026
  Woodinville-Snohomish Road, from 132nd Avenue NE to just east of the Woodinville Post Office, will close again as construction resumes.

Construction Update 10/29/25

Work crews are currently moving and leveling earth around the new tunnel being built beneath the future roundabout. This critical groundwork will create gently sloped entryways into the tunnel, improving safety and accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists who will be able to cross under 133rd Avenue NE once the project is complete.

The section of Woodinville–Snohomish Road that is currently closed is expected to reopen by the end of this year. Construction activity will pause for the winter season in mid-December and is anticipated to resume at the end of February 2026.

Construction Update 9/3/25

Project: 133rd Avenue Roundabout Construction

A full road closure will begin on September 8 on Woodinville-Snohomish Road, extending from 132nd Avenue NE to just east of the Woodinville Post Office.

Key Information:

• Local access to businesses within the closure area will be maintained.
• Traffic flaggers will be on-site to manage vehicle flow and ensure safety.
• Intermittent stops are expected as trucks enter and exit the work zone.

The City appreciates the community’s understanding and cooperation during this important infrastructure project. The road is expected to reopen by the end of 2025.
