The City recently purchased two parcels of land in downtown Woodinville that are planned for the future Northshore Parks and Recreation Community and Aquatic Center. While long-term planning and development continue, one of the properties is being activated to serve current community needs as a temporary dog park.
On April 21, 2026, the City Council approved the temporary use of the site as a dog park [Staff Report and PowerPoint]. The dog park opened on July 1, 2026.
Location
Located at 13226 NE 177th Place, the park provides a convenient space for residents and their pets and helps expand recreational opportunities for the community and our four-legged residents. The dog park is divided into two separate areas for small and larger dogs.
Next Steps
The City will continue to monitor use of the temporary dog park and gather community feedback. Information collected during this period will help inform future discussions regarding permanent dog park facilities and the long-term development of the NPRSA Community and Aquatic Center site.
