The City’s Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) guides investment of public and/or private funds in major infrastructure and facilities - such as roads, buildings, traffic signals, and park equipment - that create long-term community assets.
The six-year CIP serves as a planning and budgeting tool to:
- Provide an organized process for identifying and funding capital needs
- Evaluate projects based on community-established goals
- Prioritize current and future projects within anticipated financial resources
In the City of Woodinville, a capital project is defined as a purchase or facility improvement costing $50,000 or more with a useful life of at least five years. Many CIP projects are a direct result of growth and designed to address the impacts caused by development within the community.
CIP projects are organized into five categories:
- Streets
- Surface Water/Storm Water
- Parks & Trails
- Facilities
- Property/Land Acquisition
